The Technology Behind Avanti Studios’ New Approach to Live Casino Is Actually Very Interesting

At the start of the year, a new name entered the live dealer space with a plan to rethink how live casino games are created and delivered. Avanti Studios, founded by industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin, launched with a futuristic model hoping to solve some of the biggest challenges facing live casino today.

How It Works

Instead of relying on large studios filled with physical tables and human presenters, Avanti built its own motion capture facility. There, experienced land-based dealers perform real dealing actions, gestures, and table routines, which are then recorded in detail. Using 3D animation and artificial intelligence, those movements are turned into highly realistic digital dealer avatars.

The important distinction here is that the gameplay itself remains fully live. Cards are dealt, wheels spin, and outcomes are generated in real time during multiplayer sessions. The digital dealer acts as the host, while the action behind the game continues to mirror the immediacy and shared experience that players expect from live dealer titles.

It runs on a cloud streaming system developed with Unreal Engine technology and designed with mobile play in mind. That technical focus is intended to deliver smooth HD streams across devices. This is especially great for smartphones, which now account for a large share of live casino traffic.

More Flexibility and Choice

It gets even better. One of the main goals behind Avanti’s model is flexibility. Operators can tailor dealer appearance, table environments, language, branding, and even dealing speed to better suit their audiences. Minimum stakes can also be adjusted more easily, which may lead to more low-limit tables and localized versions of popular live dealer games.

Avanti is positioning its model as a cheaper option to traditional live casino production. The company has indicated that this setup could cut certain operating costs significantly, replacing heavy fixed expenses with subscription or revenue share structures. That could mean a wider range of tables, more personalized themes, and greater access to live dealer experiences at entry-level stakes that were previously less common.

Is It the Future?

Avanti’s first rollouts have focused on regulated markets, with Spain among the initial launch points. Early releases include several live Blackjack and Baccarat variants, Dragon Tiger, and Top Card games. More titles, including fast-paced formats and additional original concepts, are expected to follow through the first half of 2026 as Avanti expands its partner network.

Looking back since the launch and the releases that followed, the bigger takeaway for live dealer fans is the direction this represents. It could be the start of more operators creating hybrid formats that sit somewhere between traditional live tables and fully digital presentation. If players respond positively to digital dealers and more operators embrace the added flexibility, this could very well define the next phase of live dealer online casinos.
