North America’s online casino market is becoming an increasingly important battleground for gaming companies, and Evolution is strengthening its position through an expanded partnership with Boyd Interactive.
The deal makes Evolution the exclusive live dealer provider for Boyd Interactive’s North American online casino brands, giving its content a broader route into a market where operators and suppliers are looking for ways to build scale across the handful of regulated jurisdictions currently available.
The agreement covers StardustCasino.com and ResortsCasino.com in the US and Canadian markets, along with MoheganSunCasino.com in New Jersey. Financial terms were not disclosed.
For Evolution, the attraction is not simply another operator contract. An exclusive arrangement with a group such as Boyd Interactive gives its live casino portfolio a dedicated position across multiple brands, while Boyd gets access to a supplier with an established presence in regulated North American markets.
Evolution will provide Boyd with its wider live dealer portfolio, including Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time, Blackjack, Baccarat and Craps, alongside several of its game show-style titles.
That mix is particularly relevant to the North American opportunity, where suppliers are competing not only on the number of games they offer but on how effectively they can differentiate an online casino from its rivals.
The structure also highlights one of the challenges facing companies targeting North America. Rather than treating the region as one unified online casino market, operators and suppliers have to build around individual regulated jurisdictions, local brands and different market conditions.
Partnerships are increasingly valuable and Boyd Interactive can use Evolution’s content across several brands and markets, while Evolution gains a longer-term route into Boyd’s online casino ecosystem. The relationship also gives both companies room to expand as additional jurisdictions develop their own regulated online casino frameworks.
New Jersey remains central to the deal through MoheganSunCasino.com, while the wider inclusion of US and Canadian brands reflects the broader North American strategy.
The opportunity is attracting significant attention because online casino remains much less geographically widespread than sports betting in the US. Companies therefore have an incentive to establish operator relationships and content positions in regulated states rather than wait for a fully national market to emerge.
The expansion also arrives against a more complicated financial backdrop. Evolution reported second-quarter 2026 net revenue of €517.8m ($594m), down 1.2% year over year. Boyd Gaming, Boyd Interactive’s parent company, generated $1.03bn in second-quarter revenue, broadly flat from a year earlier, although its online revenue declined.
The new agreement therefore comes at a time when both sides have reasons to sharpen their online strategies. In Evolution’s case, exclusive distribution through established casino brands offers another way to deepen its North American footprint. For Boyd Interactive, the partnership brings a recognizable live casino portfolio across its brands without requiring the company to build that content operation itself.
